I am reading this book by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddellout loud to my youngest daughter (and eldest when she wants to). I really like the act of reading aloud this book especially because it has a lot of imagined animals and names in it so when spoken the whole narrative comes alive. When I read this particular story I am reminded of a T.V program in England called Jackanory.
Well, I don’t believe it but surfing around for images on Jackanory I come across a link that talks about the revival of the Jackanory with two short films one film was based on the book called Muddle Earth by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell. The other is called The Magician of Samarkaud by Alan Temperley.
